• Cylinder Head Protection: Shields the cylinder head from scrapes and scratches caused by off-road riding.
• Load Distribution: Mounting bolts anchored both in front of and behind the cylinder head spread impact force evenly across the entire valve cover, reducing damage from hard hits.

Your boxer engine's cylinder heads stick out. On rocky or tight trails, they take hits. These guards are engineered to handle that. The mounting system anchors bolts both in front of and behind the cylinder head, so impact force spreads across the full valve cover rather than concentrating at one point.

Rubber pads on the inside keep metal off the valve cover — no direct contact, no vibration wear. When the skid pads eventually take enough damage, you replace just the pad, not the whole guard. Compatible with AltRider crash bars and BMW OEM crash bars for the R 1200 GS Adventure. Available in anodized black.
